ASCENSION

It is 2013 Jan in Kabokweni, Nelspruit, Mpumalanga South Africa. I made a conscious decision to change my life. In our part of the world there is not much a young black man can do to better his social and economic situation but I knew that passing my final high school year would open many doors for me.
2014 Went from Mpumalanga to Kwa-Zulu Natal, was in UKZN doing a 3 year undergraduate degree. At this point in my life I did not really know how life would be in a couple of years.

Went back home in June of 2014 and registered a private company Roco 1245 Trading (pty) Ltd. The plan was to be self empowered ,self employed and to help alleviate poverty in my province and South Africa in general.

Awareness widens the Horizon

I have always wanted to be behind a film production or to actually produce a film, the idea never left my mind. Went searching for a second hand camera with my mother this one time and I could not find one because of limited financial resources. I kept on going ,saving up so that I could one day own a camera and the equipment needed for making quality films. When I had saved up enough money I was in a different place in my life, I found myself lost in desperate despair with a blurry vision. Squandered the resources in desperate pursuit of financial prosperity, just like a drug addicted who searches for the next high. If I was aware of the opportunity that was now within my grasp I would be editing my first short film. Only if I were aware...

It is 2015 May, I have seen a few real business opportunities and planning on making a real viable business venture under the Roco 1245 company name. Made an application for a trademark which is proving to be very lengthy. I hope we get to the promised land. If you believe in the dream without doubt...

Awareness

You plan- Organized
You wait- Patient
You get everything that is needed - Resourceful
You miss the opportunity - Unprepared?
I say you lack awareness.
Isn't it obvious? You been preparing... You planned it, you waited, you got what was needed but you still missed it. A lot of things led to it. You lost the Focus, like it was stolen and you made mistakes when you missed your brakes. Now Stop. Think.... about all the things that you did to get here, now. Came too far just to come this far...
FURTHER THAN YOU'VE EVER BEEN

Dreams are worth more than money
Pursuit of happiness

Everybody wants to be great: The boat story

You know why we all like movies?
It's because we go on a boat ride that goes no where, it is a stationary fictitious ride that we willingly take.

You're 3 years old in the arcade. You want to ride the lovely singing boat so badly you willing to forfeit weekly allowance. Ride after ride. Time after time.

We relate to and admire the characters because they were designed to bring out certain emotions certainly. The artists that play them are brilliant drivers of the boat.

We see ourselves in them, we are so consumed by what we could be that we forget to remember, we are.
Pride, sorrow, joy, courage, disappointment and happiness. All packaged with dramatic music that makes the products worth having.

On our own we can experience, do and accomplish all we want, all we see in the characters. All we see is mere imitation of life... Take nothing away from movie production. We give life to the characters when we believe, not forgetting that it a fictitious and very stationary boat ride that leads to no where.

Life has no forever after. No visual effects. No dramatic music.

Point is
There is no point.
Appreciate art, love life and most importantly appreciate every moment just like you would if it were a movie.

Que music; Dramatic Exit...

Great memories

You know how all the sad moments in life become a source of wisdom and experience? When you are going through a tough time be thankful for it has come to pass and it will prove to be more of a blessing than a curse.
"pain is temporary, it may last for a minute, an hour or a day, even a year but eventually it will subside. Something else will take its place.. "

Sorry stories make good memories, you will be that grandparent that always has stories to tell.  Your struggles will turn into lovely happy giggles.

Never forget to be patient, the wise have tired lessons for you...
